Background History

Some humanitarian as well as aristocratic people of Kuwait established a welfare organization in 1984 named ” Islamic World Committee” in order to serve the distressed and homeless orphans of the country. Then in the year 1993, being registered as ” Islamic World Committee ” ,it commences its charity activities in Bangladesh. Later it was named as ‘ Society for Social Reform, Bangladesh Office”. It started its work with the rearing up of 453 orphans collecting from the near by society. Then the orphans used to stay in their own locality.

Then in the year 1999, the organization expands its activities by establishing few orphanage at different places of the state.

The organization established its biggest project at Ahulia -Savar, close to Uttara in the year 2004, naming as ‘Dawhatul Khiar Complex’ which is now known as SSR high School and this is the only largest project of the organization outside Kuwait.

In response to the invocation of the present government, the organization changed its name partly and receive the name of Society for Social And Technological Support. In the project of Ashulia, now it includes a general high school, a vocational high school and a diploma institute which made an outstanding result in the year 2011 and 2012 securing 1st position throughout the country in Telecommunication Department consequently.
